Thanks to, I've now made a PGN database of the annotated games on this site available for download (from the free MediaFire storage site), with a link on the sidebar. I'd put off organizing all of the games into one database, since they were a mix of tournament and training games; they had also been in more than one format originally. However, I think it's worthwhile to have done it. I'll plan to keep the database current, updating it every time there's a new annotated game posted here. (Addendum: now that the full database is up, I've removed the individual game links from the sidebar, which in any case would have eventually become too unwieldy.).
Here are a bunch, although they are supposed to be used with a defunct product called ChessVU: Note the huge and deeply annotated middle-game database. Edit: I have since tried some of these games out with SCID vs. PC, and it works great. That middle-game tutorial seems to be a really great resource; and there are many other there, too. This guy at calls himself only 'ChessAdmin', and calls himself a Class C player. On the right column of his blog, he has two databases you can download, one with 180 of his own games, and 77 games of masters, that he's commentated. I wouldn't even mention it, except free, well-annotated games on the 'Net are so rare.

FWIW: I had a tennis instructor who insisted we didn't try to serve like the pros, since it's so hard to control. She thought we would do better if we did more of a bent elbow serve instead of a real smash. Sometimes, the pro techniques aren't always the ones to get better with. Of course, it's important to know the difference - which is why I was forthcoming with communicated the commentator's strength. – Oct 18 '17 at 16:17.

PGN Library More than 4000 annotated chess games in PGN format A lot of people places an notated chess games on the Web, but unfortunately there is a wide variety of formats, more or less resembling the, with variations. It is quite difficult to process automatically those games.
I have downloaded in several years all the annotated games I was able to find, and, while browsing them with ChessVU, I have tried to transform the original text files into more portable PGN files. It was not an easy task. ChessVU was useful to help me checking the final correctness, and at the same time I relaxed the rules used by ChessVU, to allow as far as possible direct processing of the files as they are (the ideal would be for ChessVU to be so smart to understand all the irregularities). I want to share the result of my work, because most of the games are really precious. I hope the original annotators will forgive me for using their comments, in the interest of all chess fans, that will be able to enjoy the games, using or other viewers. Here are the zipped files. Were possible I add a general comment and the link of the original source, whom I am grateful.
